Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. Mine has been nothing but cramming/studying. Only two to three more weeks I guess. If everyone hasn't heard yet, I've rescheduled my mCAT exam and am now writing it on the 25th. At least I get to go to Vancouver. My departure date is the 23rd and I'm coming back on the 27th.
Onto other news, after many futile attempts lady luck finally decided to give me a break and let me talk to the respite office head; a person who interviewed me about 2-3 weeks ago. Anywho, it seems they finally have set up a orientation date^^ I'm officially hired, woot woot! I can't wait to get started; finally a job that is more related to my career.
Well back to studying I go^^ Enjoying your camping trip everyone!! I wish I could go :( |

Yesterday was my last exam^^ Yay, I'm free, at least for now that is. However, this Friday I'm getting all my wisdom teeth removed, which totally sucks cuz I really wanted to go to Noelle's party on Saturday. I fell like I haven't seen anyone for the longest time and was looking forward to catching up. Oh well, guess it'll have to be another day :(

Well, well,the end of classes are approaching fast, meaning my exams are just looming around the corner. Everything is coming to an end.
As much as I'm looking forward to summer, at the same time I'm dreading it cuz so many changes are going to happen, some I am ready for, some I am not.
Right now I'm applying for a different job that is related to my career and am planning to volunteer, probably at the Childre's Hospital at the Health Sciences Center. Most likely we're going to move to a different house by the end of summer as well. During the beginning of summer I'm taking vector geometry, while studying hard core for my mcat which I'll be writting in the middle of August. The preparation for that alone will take up the majority of my summer.
It's kinda nice I suppose, at least I won't be bored over the summer. At the same time I'm afraid I'm going to burn out once I'm done my mcat, and after that, all that's left for me to go back to school. Though there is the camping trip to look forward to, and my friend Jackie was talking about going up to her cabin during the May long weekend as well.

Sorry I haven't been in touch with everyone lately. Last Thursday I just finished one midterm and now have to study for another 4. Thank goodness it's reading week^^
Well let's see, what to talk about...
Yesterday Adam came over and met my parents over dinner. He was quite nervous as was I, but it turned out better than I had anticipated, except for the small lecture that my mom gave, but that was inevitable. Seems that he and my dad have a lot in common, and they hit it off really well. A huge burden seemed to have been lifted, both my parents like him and are quite pleased, which is more than I could have hoped for. Yay, it's going to be our one month this Saturday, I'm quite excited^^
On Saturday my friends and I went to our usual "Sushi Sunday" though this time it was Saturday since Adam was scheduled to come over the next day. We ended up crashing at Dan's house and I got to meet both of his kitties^^ They were so adorable; one of them had the cutest tail^^ And of course the dog seemed to guess that I was allergic to it so naturally it wouldn't leave me alone.
Oh yeah, thank you Andrew, Steven and Justin (and anyone else I forgot to mention) for the HMV gift certificate that you gave me for my birthday. I bought The Fray cd with it and enjoy it^^
Let's see, for this week I'm mostly going to be studying. I wanna hang out with you all one evening if you want to. Though I'm going to be busy on Wednesday and Friday^^
I hope that your all doing well, oh yeah, I'd love to go to your sister's social Lise, just give me a call sometime this week and I can stop by and give u the money ok?

Well, today was quite the day I must say^^;; In the afternoon I had an organic lab and was doing quite well surprisingly; no spills, no mistakes, everything was perfect...until I had to do one FINAL separation and half of my product spilled on the counter. Guess it's ok though since we're not marked on percent yield, and I could always adjust a few of my numbers, but still...I worked so efficiently until that point, so now I'm kinda bummed out.
Besides that everything went well. Spotted a guy wearing a purple shirt today on my way to my microbio class. Made me smile all the way there^^
Over the weekend I went out for some sushi with friends at Wasabi on Osbourne. Absolutely in love with that place, it's so great. Though I never eat the raw stuff. Afterwards we ended up grabbing some Starbucks and then off to Leia's place to watch the scrub musical. Ah, Turk looks so fine when he and J.D. sing "guy love." ^^hehe
On a side note, I might as well mention this here: I have a boyfriend.

Man, life is just full of surprises lately; it's had to predict what will happen next^^
Today was an awesome day I must say, though I should have gotten more school work done. I'm taking this tai chi class with one of my friends. It was relaxing and yeah....
Classes are a burden as usual. Lab partners are stupid. Nothing much to stay, school is usually self-explanatory so I won't bore you all with the details.
And yeah, I'm off to bed, apology for the boring entry, just thought I should update today. |

Hm,well I'm back to the hum-drum life of university tomorrow, though am quite grateful that I only have one class.
Noelle, I apologize for not being able to come; it wasn't that I didn't want to. The next day I attempted to phone you but no one answered:( Sarah told me that you phoned before, but for some odd reason my mom never gave me the message and your phone number was deleted before I got to write it down. I'm really sorry!!
This break has been quite interesting to say the least. Throughout the one and a half week of freedom I managed to meet up with friends, do some baking (those clodhoppers were really good Smitty) and surprisingly enough go ice skating, which I think I should do more often. Unfortunately though I don't know many people who know how to skate.
As for last year, it astonishes me how much some things change, and relieved that some things did not. Hard to describe really, everything that had happened last year. |

One more exam, just one more, just one more....ugh!! I swear this week has been nothing short of a living hell!! ARGH!! I don't mean to sound whiny or anything, it's just around exam time it's hard not to feel this way; like I'm trapped in this never ending vortex of work, work and more work, memorizing idiotic pieces of information I know I'll never use! I don't even know anymore, getting into medicine...I want to, at least I think I do, then why am I not trying hard? I'm going to be stuck like this for another seven years of my life.
In high school it was so much easier, my life was all laid out for me, all I had to do was get good grades and play sports. Wonder why it's changed so much. Ah I dunno, guess it's cuz I changed so much. Back then I felt obligated to get good grades for my parents, and I was smothered by high expectations from everyone. Protected from everything, this wind-up doll that just studied."Straight A person who doesn't swear and blah,blah,blah" All the time I was afraid of letting everyone down. Never did I realized how sheltered and underdeveloped I was as a person. Now that I think about it, I've changed a lot since then and man am I ever glad I did. Guess in a way then I'm glad I'm outa high school.
Lol, I sounds like some melodramatic freak here don't I? ^^;; Sorry, exam time always makes me think a lot.
On another note, we found our jeep. I was parked in St.James' Superstore parking lot and smashed up quite a bit. Cool bit though, they're lending us a 2007 Malibu-type-car (yeah sorry I'm bad with car names) which is a pretty sweet ride I must admit. Just glad we don't have to buy another car or anything^^
Ah, learnt that drinking coffee all of a sudden after about four months doubles it's effect on your body. Last night I decided I needed to study longer so made myself a cup around 11:30pm, stayed up until 3am and then worke at about 6-6:30am to study somemore. lol, even now I'm still quite energetic, but that just might me being sleep deprived.
Can't wait until Sarah's Christmas get together. Looking forward to seeing everyone again^^ |

Decided to take a break from my studies^^;;
Geez, this is suppose to be the time to relax and be in the holiday spirit, hard to do when you have so many exams I must admit, though I am trying my best^^ I can't wait until the Dec.20th comes, the ripest time for last minute shoppers such as myself to attempt to plow through the mall^^ Whoop-de-doo...oh well it'll be in interesting experience to say the least.
Managed to get the days off I requested from work. Sure though that they won't be to happy when I return...well at least I was saved from an embarassing "Christmas rap" song my co-worker wanted me to do with her ^^;;

Yeah, I'm actually posting, surprised? So am I.
Right now I'm just taking a short break from my organic chem lab. Well not so much as taking a break as procrastinating, but meh call it what you wish ^^;;
School is hectic, like that is not anything new . Though I must admit is has its moments, like when we made that glove turkey in my microbio lab. Ah, let the good times roll^^
Went out for sushi the other day at Wasabi on Osbourne. It was so deliecious, though I must admit I was apprehensive when the waitress brought me my sushi since it had crab legs sticking out of it. Should have guessed though since what I ordered was called spider legs @_@
Chirtmas is coming soon enough, though I don't know what we're doing with presents. Are we doing a secret santa still?
Enough of a break I guess, at least this green tea is calming me down a little^^ Hope everyone is doing well, since I haven't seen everyone in ages. My exams are done on December 20th, so afterwards let's all hang out ok? |
